COALITION FOR EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

The Coalition for Equal Opportunities is constituted from civil associations, but is open for all interested sides and individuals that want to give their contribution and support the process of creating and developing the anti-discrimination legislation and combat discrimination on all grounds. This Coalition should have a key role and strive to ensure the participation and development of the capacity of different groups.
The Coalition should prepare all stakeholders for joint action, to enable exchange of positive practices and networking at national, regional and European level and exchange of information and monitoring as well.

The Coalition for Equal Opportunities should work on creating a Community Action Strategy, to develop a long range Community Action Program for protection from discrimination and to strengthen its capacity. The Coalition should be an effective mechanism to answer the new challenges.

Campaign “2007 – European Year of Equal Opportunities for All - in Macedonia”
The delegation of the European Commission in Macedonia together with the Coalition for Equal Opportunities in Macedonia, set a goal to invite and motivate all interested citizens in the country to give their contribution in the process of creating the just society, released from all forms of discrimination where the contribution of diversity is respected.
Through campaigning and the series of activities, let’s commemorate the 2007th as a year of equal opportunities for all, and TOGETHER give contribution in the process of awareness raising, and learn how to live with each other, not one beside other! In Macedonia, where

legal protection of specific category of citizens has yet to be assured, the campaign “2007 – European Year of Equal Opportunities for All” is delivering the message and the meaning of equality.
